ALL WHITE KITCHENS: Some Say Boring...I Say BEAUTIFUL!

There are not many other things that excite me in design more than a well designed kitchen. And my favorite ones to look at seem to be all white. There is something about this timeless look that is both modern and tradtitional in their design that makes them age with beauty. Maybe that is why throughout design history white kitchens have constantly been used in homes. 

Some say this style is boring but I am here to convince you otherwise of how fabulous ALL WHITE KITCHENS can be and why I love them. Don't let me fool you into thinking that I don't LOVE color kitchens as well, I just think white kitchens don't get enough credit. My favorite thing about them is that you can bring in the functional accessories that will add some color by keeping the pallete white.

Ok....I love love love how they did everything white and then added the color with the metal cafe chairs and barstools. So fun! Who said all white kitchens could not be playful?!

 

I am just in love with the lights in this kitchen cabinetry and the design of the cabinet doors. Again...all white but LOTS of character.

The ALL white Traditional kitchen to a T! Look at those coffers and the moldings! BEAUTIFUL!

 

I love the use of the stainless steel to that makes this look like "icing" in the kitchen. Its so simple yet so pleasing to the eye.

Big windows and lots of architectural detail make this kitchen perfect.

Seriously...I can totally picture myself cooking in this kitchen. 

Rustic, classic, and simplistic all rolled into one beautifully designed kitchen!

Couple of things I adore about this kitchen:

#1. White classic subway tiles.

#2. Rustic reclaimed beams overhead.

#3. Lanterns above the island...oh my goodness!

#4. Dark wood floors...YES!

#5. Neutral color palette.

#6. Lots of natural light.

New Adore Home Magazine Issue: Dark and Classy

Its a new week! I am so excited I have a lot of things going on this week but it is going to be good. =) I am trying to get a ton of design stuff done and look through inspirational magazines and to gather inspiration for some kitchen and bath remodels I will be working on soon. So here is my favorite publication from the newest issue of Adore Online Magazine. 

I love black but sometimes it can be too much in kitchens. However they did a great job of marrying contemporary yet classy with the moldings and black tile backsplash. The light walls and floors and an abundant amount of natural light is what makes this kitchen work with black cabinetry. Love it!!!

Red, White, And Blue Interiors

I hope all of you are getting ready for your 4th of July celebrations. I love it. I wish I was wealthy enough to decorate my house different for every holiday. Like these below. My husband would never go for remodeling the house for one holiday. The only one I can get away with doing that is Christmas. Haha.

Design Done Right: Rambling Renovators

Today I will be featuring the Kitchen from Jennifer over at Rambling Renovators. You should really go check out all the the projects she has done...they are amazing! So talented. So here is her kitchen below...

Don't you just love the backsplash?!

Even a narrow kitchen can be functional and beautiful.

I love that she chose to put frosted glass doors cause they break up the cabinetry and give your eye a visible OUT. Very important in a small narrow space.

Glass Tile Backsplash

So I have been looking at backsplashes for inspiration in a clients kitchen. We are using glass tiles and slate! It is going to look so good! I love glass tiles. They are so fun and a great way to bring color and interest into a kitchen. There is literally every color and shape of glass tile so in my mind every kitchen looks different and unique when they are used. Here are some fun designs I found.
